Awards 2003

Andre Simon Memorial Award

The shortlist of nominations for the 2002 Andre Simon Memorial Award were announced in November 2002. The winners of the food and drink were announced at a reception in London.
Nominations were:
  1. British Food by Colin Spencer (Grub Street)
  2. Family Food by Heston Blumenthal ( Michael Joseph)
  3. A Cook's Guide to Grains by Jenni Muir (Conran Octopus)
  4. Seductive Flavours of the Levant by Nada Saleh (Robson Books)
  5. Simple Food by Jill Dupleix (Quadrille)
  6. Thai Food by David Thompson (Pavilion)
The winner, announced in March 2003, was Thai Food by David Thompson, an incredible odyssey through the food culture and kitchens of Thailand
